Ritman College LearnAfrica AwardLearnAfrica Education Development Foundation formerly Longman Nigeria Plc, an International Organization has declared Ritman College, Ikot Ekpene as the overall best Secondary School in Akwa Ibom State in the NECO Senior Secondary Certificate Examination just released in 2013.

In a letter to the school, the organization congratulated the Ritman College for producing a student Inam, Enobong James who emerged the overall best candidate in the June/July 2013 NECO Senior Secondary Certificate Examination also in Akwa Ibom State.

The organization, LearnAfrica Education Development had also requested the authority of Ritman College to nominate the best teacher of the year for an award.

In another development, the 2013 WASSCE result has placed Ritman College above other schools in the State. Out of 45 students presented for the Examinations, 24 students had 9 credits, 16 students had 8 credits, 2 students had 7 credits while 3 students had 6 credits.

Reacting to the feat achieved by the College, the Proprietor of Ritman College, Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien stated that such development would continue to strengthen and encourage him to make landmark investments in providing the enabling environment for educating the future leaders of Nigeria.

Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien revealed that he has put in his best to ensure that Ritman College, Ikot Ekpene competes favourably with the best schools in the world.

He stated that the international linkage programme established between Ritman College and best top schools in USA, Britain and Canada has exposed the students of Ritman College to the best learning environments available anywhere in the world.

Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien appreciated LearnAfrica for the award and prayed the Good Lord to protect his students and their parents for better and glorious years ahead.

In her remarks, the Proprietress of the School, Dr. Mrs. Grace Emmanuel Essien stated that Ritman College is positioned to win more awards due to the sustained educational programme instituted in the school. She maintained that the provision of imported instructional materials, the conducive learning environment, the employment of experienced and seasoned teachers and the effective supervision of the entire school system has yielded positive results for the Ritman College. Dr. Mrs Grace Essien has therefore assured parents of her commitment to ensure that Ritman College will continue to be visible and distinctive in the world map of the best schools.
